We’re thrilled to have completed the programme for the 9th edition of the Edinburgh Short Film Festival!

Opening night is at the Filmhouse on Thursday October 24th with a programme of shorts, including the 2019 Cannes Best Short Winner, BAFTA Scotland winner and best animation at Fantoche Int. Animation Festival!

ESFF Screens at Adriatic Film Festival 2019

We’re very excited about our screening at the 2019 Adriatic Film Festival which runs 19-22 September .

We’ve put together an exciting programme of UK short film, including taut thriller Cry Baby Blue by Marlek al-Habib and Sophia Carr-Gomm’s excellent Highlands-set drama The Wider Sun. There’s a screening for talented animator, Gabriel Bohmer and his American Gothic 2D animation,The Flood is Coming.

ESFF Film-Maker Interviews #4: Barnabas Toth

We were delighted to play host to the very charming Barnabas Toth from Budapest whose short film ‘Chuchotage’ screened at the 2018 Edinburgh Short Film Festival and was also Oscar nominated!

A slyly witty romantic comedy staged with care and attention to detail, Chuchotage was one of our favourite comedies of last year and we interviewed him about the film in Edinburgh!

ESFF Screens at Florence’s FilmCorti 2019

Our good friends at Firenze FilmCorti in Florence are launching this year’s edition of Florence’s premiere short film event on Thursday May 30th 2019 and we’re preparing a programme of short film for the Festival!

The short film screening will take place at the atmospheric Le Murate venue, the old 19th Century prison, on Saturday June 2nd and we’re excited to be part of a vibrant and busy short film event!
