Short Film in Florence: Firenze Film Corti 2019

Florence holds its annual short film festival, ‘Firenze Film Corti’, in the remarkable surrounds of Le Murate. A former prison, Le Murate was used by Mussolini to hold political prisoners and anyone else who objected to the regime in dark and grim conditions.
Devoid of light or air, often 3 to a small concrete, bare cell, they scratched images and slogans using pieces of stone chipped from the walls.

ESFF Screens at Florence’s FilmCorti 2019

Our good friends at Firenze FilmCorti in Florence are launching this year’s edition of Florence’s premiere short film event on Thursday May 30th 2019 and we’re preparing a programme of short film for the Festival!

The short film screening will take place at the atmospheric Le Murate venue, the old 19th Century prison, on Saturday June 2nd and we’re excited to be part of a vibrant and busy short film event!

ESFF Screens Animation at Manipulate 2019

ESFF screens a night of some of our best animations from last year’s festival at Manipulate 2019!

There’s winner of our Best Animation award, the stunning Wicked Girl by Ayce Kartal and the atmospheric world of An Island by Rory Byrne
as well as Aspen ShortFest award winner, Coyote by Lorenz Wunderle and a fair old mix of stunning 2D, Stop-Motion, Puppetry and CGI!

Screening starts noon at the Traverse Theatre on Saturday November 9th!
