The Sardinia Film Festival launches again on 28th June 2018, bringing around 250 short films from across the world to the lovely island of Sardinia.
With open-air piazza screenings, networking events, some quite glamourous award ceremonies and staffed by some very friendly islanders, lead by Carlo Dessi, the Sardinia Film Festival is one of our favourite film events!
We’re excited to be screening there again this year and looking forward to sharing some of our favourite shorts with film followers in Sardinia, including Robin Joseph’s Oscar nominated Fox & The Whale and Alia Ghafar’s Scottish coming-of-age drama, Salt & Sauce.
We’re also sending them Natasza Cetner’s powerful and elegeic animation, Nero while Sardinians will get to see how some of our islanders live in Trainspotting Tiree by Jack Lockhart. Heartwarming animation, A Little Grey by Simon Hewitt rounds off the programme.
