NEW APPROACH TO FILM FUNDING
Funding has always been a major bugbear for film production projects and this situation doesn’t look likely to change in the immediate future, so the launch recently of new London-Based venture Genera Films is an attempt at providing a new model of group funding for interesting new film projects.
Genera pitches itself as a family of film-makers helping and supporting each other and with the availability of up to £5,000 in production funding – awarded to the winning film projects on a rolling, quarterly basis, as well as film festival submission discounts – the model is an intriguing way for film-makers to get their hands on a sizeable chunk of very useful production funds.
Membership and eligibility to apply for the funding costs £40 per project, but we’ve also agreed an exclusive 25% festival submission discount for Genera members and in return, Genera have offered our followers a special 25% discount on Genera Project Application fees via the following discount code:
Code: ESFF25GEN
We’ll be watching developments closely but if you do decide to take the plunge with your film projects and go for some of the funds available, we wish you good luck with your pitch and all the best with the production!
