We’ll be announcing the line-up for the 2018 Edinburgh Short Film Festival very soon, in the meantime we’re delighted to publish an interview with the talented Iranian film-maker Roozbeh Misaghi, who’s short film TURQUOISE was screened at the 2017 Edinburgh Short Film Festival!
We talked to Roozbeh about making the film which depicts life in a rural Iranian village turned upside down by a rumour that there is a concealed treasure box, hidden somewhere in the village.  The normally placid, agrarian life of the villagers is subverted by an increasingly dark obsession with the ever elusive treasure..

Roozbeh’s raw and energised thriller evokes shades of the Treasure of the Sierra Madre in it’s depiction of treachery and greed..
