We’re once again delighted to curate a programme of Scottish short film for the annual Scot’s Day Out Festival in Bendigo, Australia on Friday Feb 28th!
Long established as one of the world’s biggest Scottish diaspora festivals, we’ve been curating programmes of contemporary Scottish short films for them for 4 years and we’re looking forward to our 2020 screening on Friday 28th February at the Engine Rooms in Bendigo!
Including our 2019 Best Scottish Film, the intensely dramatic and perfectly staged adaptation of Alistair Macleod’s short story ‘In the Fall’ by Tom Gentle, as well as ‘Turning Tide’ by Andrew Muir, a WW2 coming-of-age drama fairly bursting with outstanding model work!
There’s also the thought-provoking experimental documentary Self/Conscious by Christina Webber and we’ve added Australian animator Jelena Sinik’s artfully presented 2D animation ‘ON’.
Hoping SDO’s audiences enjoy the films and we wish Chris Earl and his hard-working team all the best for the event!
