We’re all deeply shocked and saddened to hear about the sudden closure of the Filmhouse.

ESFF Screens at Cinema On The Shore

Our friends at Cinetopia  will be holding their open-air Cinema On The Shore event soon and we’re excited to be presenting

a programme of family-friendly shorts free at 1pm Sunday 18th September, with some of our animation award winners of recent years, including

the stunning stop-motion short ‘Muedra’ by Cesar Diaz Melendez and the wonderful 2D ‘Nigel’ by Natasza Cetner.

There’s pizza, refreshments and a whole weekend’s worth of finest deckchair cinema!

The 2022 Adriatic Film Festival hosts the ESFF

It was wonderful to be at Adriatic Film Festival to present a programme of Scottish Shorts, including Go Home by Razan Madhoon and What’s Left To Say by George Farrow-Hawkins.  A great festival with a full programme of excellent short film.

ESFF Showcase at the 7th Adriatic Film Festival

We’re delighted to be presenting a selection of short films for the 2022 Adriatic Film Festival!

The programme screens at Abruzzo’s specialist cinema, the Palazzo Sirena on Saturday 23rd July, including ‘Go Home’ by Razan Madhoon and ‘What’s Left To Say’ by George Farrow-Hawkins.

The AFF is a lovely film festival on the Italian Adriatic with a brilliant programme of independent cinema and runs 22-24 July 2022 in the wonderful dedicated specialist cinema, the Palazzo Sirena!

ESFF Showcases at the 2022 Fastnet Film Festival

We’re excited to be presenting a programme of Scottish shorts at the 2022 edition of the Fastnet Film Festival in Ireland!

ESFF 10th Anniversary at the Filmhouse

We’re delighted to have finally screened the Edinburgh Short Film Festival: 10 Years Best Film programmes
at the Filmhouse to mark our first decade!

Thanks to all the filmmakers who attended and contributed to the programme and to the audiences. We were delighted to have sold out all four screenings and very pleased with the feedback so here’s to another decade!
