ESFF DAY 8 – REVIEW by THE WEE REVIEW

We’re delighted that The Wee Review dropped by our closing night at Summerhall on Saturday Nov 11th and pretty happy with the review they wrote as well!

It was a great night and we were very honoured to host no less than 34 guests and film-makers from literally all over the world!

ESFF DAY 7 – REVIEW by THE WEE REVIEW

We’re loving the review of Day 7 at the Edinburgh Short Film Festival by The Wee Review which took place on Friday November 10th at Summerhall!

We had around 26 guests and visiting film-makers and it was especially wonderful to see all these people from all different cultures from across the world, mixing, having fun and talking films!

ESFF DAY 6 – REVIEW by THE WEE REVIEW

We’re delighted that our friends from The Wee Review have passed us their review of Day 5 at the Edinburgh Short Film Festival on November 9th at the Filmhouse, we were also very honoured to have guest film-makers in attendance from all over the world, including from Iran and South Korea,

We’ve just learned that one of our awards sponsors has taken the decision to appoint Tommy Robinson as a ‘Goodwill Ambassador’ for their charitable work.

The ESFF is, and always has been, an apolitical organisation dedicated solely to the furtherance of short film.

We would never associate with any politician or political activist, let alone one like Tommy Robinson, and so we have removed all association with the MMBF from this date onwards.

Well, that’s it wrapped for another year of short film at the ESFF!

From sending our touring programmes to Tokyo and Sardinia in June, to Ireland in May and our week-long sojourn in the bowels of the old Leith Theatre during Hidden Door, to trying to squeeze a busload of Stenhousemuir FC supporters into the cinema space at Summerhall – we’ve had a busy year organising no less than 20 separate film screenings around the world […]
