We’re very excited to be able to announce a new partnership we’ve established with the brand new Adriatic Film Festival, based in Pescara, Italy.

It’s wonderful that Italy has such a dedicated and enthusiastic short film scene and we’re looking forward to programming short films for their Inaugural event which runs September 28TH to September 30th and to inviting the festival director Guido Casale to Edinburgh for the 2018 ESFF.

The AFF Jury President is one of Italy’s most well-known directors, Gianluca Arcopinto producer of the hit TV series ‘Gomorrah’ based on the excellent Italian feature of the same name and with a beautiful location in the old theatre, the Auditorium Sirena, in Pescara which lies on Italy’s Adriatic coast, we’re very much looking forward to sending another ESFF programme to

audiences in Italy later this year and we’ll be announcing the programme for the Adriatic Film Festival over the coming weeks, so watch this space!

Focussing on short film and documentaries, the festival offers around 4,000 Euros in prize money with awards for
Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Actor/Actress and Best Screenplay,

Submissions are now open online and the deadline for entry is 26 August!
